Valentines

Valentines is coming soon and today we started decorating at work, so I think a valentines card will be perfect for today. I am going to a craft camp this Sunday and this is the project I will be demonstrating this weekend.

I am storing it along with my kits in the clear wood mount case. It will hold about 14 kits and I slide the sample in the front so I can see what card I am grabbing.

I hope you enjoy!

Organization!!!

This is probably one of my most annoying habits....for those who aren't organized. I love to organize and am always trying to better my storage system. Currently I am totally loving the Stampin' Up! Wood Mount Stamp cases, you can purchase four full size cases for 6.95 and four half size cases for 5.95. I do like the Clear mount also for a few items, but the large wood mount are by far the most versatile. I am also a fan of the decorative boxes you can purchase from Michael's or Joann's for storage.
My top challenges for storage solutions currently are punch storage (it has to have the ability to travel well), Ribbon storage (I prefer to have it all one spot verses what I currently have multiple locations) and finished product I haven't used, given away or sold, all though maybe I should also mention the projects I have started and not finished (usually because I don't like how it is turning out).

Do you have any solutions for these items that you are excited about? Leave me a message I would love some input.

Have a wonderful week!

Octagon Boxes

Well here are my photos as promised. I started out by almost duplicating the box in the video. I made a few in the same Basic Black, Whisper White, & Baked Brown Sugar color scheme.

I do have all the pieces cut and sponged and the flower topper made for a few more of which two are in color, one is Pistachio Pudding and the other is Strawberry Slush, once I get them finished I will photograph them and share, I ran out of the liquid adhesive & have been busy with work, holidays & life in general lately so haven’t gotten back to them since I got my adhesive order in.

Enjoy!

Perfect Blend

On Sunday’s I do bookkeeping for a local Coffee shop/Resort and this stamp set is perfect for use in this setting. I have debated actually purchasing the stamp set since the catalog came out and finally gave in and ordered it. I then spent 2 or 3 days (well maybe not the whole day) playing with this set.

A while back purchased the small 5 ¼” x 3 ½” envelopes and this coffee cup is perfectly sized for little cards like this. I also ordered clear bags from clearbags.com and when I placed my order I was trying to think of all the sizes I needed and this was one I forgot so I wanted to come up with a way to display, store and sell these adorable little cards, so I created this box based on a chocolate box with attached card to hold a gift card.

I then took them up to work and they loved them, the owner wants to make some cards and has this stamp set on her wish list for a while, I think the wish list is about to become an order.

If you have used this stamp set and have posted your projects to your blog please share your link below.

I hope you enjoy!

August Craft Class

Going all the way back to August, I had my craft class and while I had a lot of fun and I want to think that my attendees had fun also, my turn out wasn't what I was hoping for. I wanted some new customers and while I did end up with one person who normally doesn't craft, she is more the type to have me create the project and she will buy it from me. I did end up with one person signed up for paper pumpkin, she did it for her daughter and has continued since then. I am going to see if she will give me some input on how her daughter likes the kits if she has been putting them together.

Here are the projects we created:

I hope you enjoy!

It's Been a While

Yes, it has been a while since I last blogged. I recently started a separate blog for my genealogy research so I am trying to get on a better & regular blogging schedule for both of my blogs.

Even though I haven’t been blogging I have been crafting, so I do have a few projects to share over the next few weeks, all I have to do is take photos. So for today I will direct you to a video that gives instructions and was the inspiration behind my next post.

These gorgeous Octagon Boxes were a blast to create. I new the minute I saw them that I wanted to make one, of course I didn’t have the Big Shot Bigz Milk Carton die I needed to make them so it had to wait until the next order I placed, and as it turned out I was missing a few of the scallop punches.

I hope you enjoy and visit again for photos of my octagon boxes.
